On Saturday, April 10th from 2 pm-5 pm, Capital Area Transit, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, and Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours are teaming up for a special R-LINE Gourmet Food Tour. Experience some of Raleigh’s most unique and dynamic restaurants in one fun-filled afternoon while riding the R-LINE, downtown Raleigh’s circulator.

As part of the tour, participants will enjoy the opportunity to talk with chefs and owners and sample their food, sourced locally from farm-to-table, before hopping back on the bus to the next stop. From innovative southern and ethnic cuisine to fine-dining eateries to some of downtown’s most reputable bars, there’s something for everyone! “What better way to get to know a place and its people than to eat its food?” says Joe Philipose, co-founder of Taste Carolina Food Tours. “Our tours are as compelling for residents as for visitors; they give locals a unique opportunity to be face-to-face with chefs and artisans they’ve only read about,” adds Philipose.

The Tour will begin at Dos TaQuitos Centro (map it) located at 106 S. Wilmington Street in downtown Raleigh. Attendees need to arrive at 1:45 pm and the tour will begin at 2 pm.

Cost: $39.50 ($41.49 with online registration fee). Participants must register in advance. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes as there will be much walking.
