I know a lot of people who are dancing in the street on this but as you can tell, not sure Mo is the problem or at least all of it. I understand the firing but need to do something to fix the issues. I know JR is trying but his hands are tied.

First, need to find someplace for Kaberle to go. He is soaking up around $4M a year for 3 years and he is a liability. No one will take him at this price and he is not worth and this is why the Boston fans were so happy when we got him. JR was trying to fix the power play but he is not the guy and overrated. He is a D-liability. Maybe Muller can find his place on this team. My issue is I don’t think Kabs gives a **** about anything other than cashing a paycheck. Harsh, but my opinion. Lower his ice time and if that does not work, buy him out at the end of the season after putting him on waivers.

2nd) Sit Allen for a few games until and say, “you are a defensive liability and a hothead and it is costing us games”. It taught McBain something and he scored twice last game and hopefully his D lapses are fewer and farther between. Allen has made stupid mistakes and people like him because he will hit someone but he needs to stop being a lugnut and be a Defensive standout.

Staal just needs to get his head in the game. Lower is minutes until he gets it/. Move him back to the 3rd line.

When Jonni out, we saw how important he is to this team. People were all over Jonni last year but he has played good this year. He needs to keep it up.

Gleason needs to step up and be the D-guy he can be. He looks lost out there at times. This is his last year in Raleigh and he is gone within 2 months at trade deadline and I am OK with this. JR should not pay him a penny more.

Glad Barasso is back up in the coaches box as why is the goalie coach on the bench when we have other coaches. Now we have a new assistant coach. I wonder if there was not some issues between the coaches to further issues. Barasso has not always (or ever) been thought of as a good, thoughtful guy so maybe putting him the suite to watch the game will help. Who knows.

Canes need to play the forechecking, aggressive hockey on both ends of the ice. When they do, they control the game. Maybe they can not do it 3 periods and that is the problem, but sometimes they do not even attempt but they have won when they do

Last, got to upgrade the D-fense but not sure how without giving up something which I am OK with as long as it is not Sutter, Skinner or Cam. The rest are open for discussion.
