Last August to be specific and I am all about trying new places to eat. I just wanted to put a little hamburge input in. Two places that I have been very impressed with burgers have been Natty Greenes and Mecca Restaurant (yuuuum)!. Natty's has has some interesting combos. Mecca is the place if your looking for just a good ole cheeseburger. I have heard great things about the Raleigh Times burgers but just haven't had one yet.

I know I personally contacted wake county and volunteered multiple hours assisting folks in the Apex area. This website is clearly about random events that the website owner wants to post. I would not fault the owner for not creating a post that addresses your specific need. I like this site, and it focuses on topics I am interested in. While Tornado relief is also of interest to me personally (as my inlaws house was damaged), I would be recommend using standard news sources for information related to those sorts of events.

I will need to check out Dana's recommendations, especially since her caveats ("cut is always more fatty" and "dressing has a bit too much of a garlic kick") fall right into my desirables zone. (Fat=delicious, but must do in moderation. Garlic=great, period). Thanks for your blog, Dana. @Dennis - I also feel for your loss, but as Dana explained - not every blog is about every event (even disastrous ones) in the Triangle. Anything Dana would have wrote would not have added to the discussion. You'd be hard pressed to find somebody who was reading GoGoRaleigh and was just finding out about the tornadoes if Dana had written something about them.

The tornado day was a terrible event for so many, for sure. However I have never claimed to be "everything Raleigh". I am one person with a job that requires at least 55 hours a week of my time, so it is impossible to be comprehensive. Ample coverage of the tornado and victims has been available through the major news outlets, so as a companion to those resources, I do not feel the need to spend what little time I have for gogoraleigh working on redundant coverage. I am sorry that the intent of the website is not what you understand it to be.

I lost my house and 90 percent of what I own , but besides me, there were hundreds if not thousands of others who lost much of what they own. This to me speaks volumes of how shallow and provincial this site is.
