The N.C. State Fair just announced that Powers Great American Midways will be bringing The Fighter to the fair this year. Only two of these exist, and transport of the ride is a big challenge. ( more at the fair’s blog ).

I hope that many people enjoy this ride, but I will not be one of them. Round and round and round and ralph for me. Seriously, I am surprised that this ride can handle weight balance without doing symmetrical moves. Old rides like the Scrambler can easily get out of balance if riders are not distributed well. Apparently The Fighter isn’t as sensitive.
