This is excellent news!!! Attended yesterday’s announcement, the atmosphere was exciting as always. This is great news for the Canes, fans in the area and the Triangle. This is another time to shine. Raleigh city council, get your heads out of your back ends, clean up ALL the corridors to downtown Raleigh (these entries to downtown have ALWAYS been an eyesore, plus we need MORE quality hotels. These projects should have been completed years ago. Do not mention the economy, our streets and sidewalks into downtown and in downtown are pathetic)

Downtown still needs more quality hotels. The Sheraton is a poor excuse for a hotel.

Do this right or people will wonder what all the top 5 rankings are for when they see the condidition of sidewalks roads and entries into downtown like New Bern Ave, Capital Blvd and especially coming in from South Street.
