Paramore, Tegan and Sara To Open Amphitheatre
The Honda Civic Tour was announced today and it starts off in Raleigh’s “Boutique Amphitheatre†on Friday, July 23.. The tour features Paramore and Tegan and Sara . The concert will be the first for the downtown outdoor venue.
The name of the amphitheatre is laughable. I suppose all patrons will have complementary valet parking and a car wash during the concert? How about the complimentary appetizers and hot towels? How about a lemon sorbet between acts? Obviously this is the interim name for the venue while naming rights are sought. Apparently the powers that be decided to hold us hostage and pick the most annoying name possible so as to make us beg for a merciful corporate name. (I just hope that “tay-yo awtow†doesn’t end up being the sponsor).

H&M Opens in Crabtree
This week the first H&M store in the Carolinas opened in Crabtree Valley Mall. The opening day was a zoo, and that fervor is likely to continue through this weekend. The store is located on the lower level in some of the space formerly occupied by Lord & Taylor and Thalheimers.
Triangle Town Center couldn’t let this pass without some store openings of their own. This week they countered Crabtree’s H&M by announcing three new tenants: Hat Lounge, Hershey’s Ice Cream, and As Seen on TV Plus. 😉
