Mason’s Chophouse Replacing Uno’s in Brier Creek
TBJ is reporting that the owners of the Brier Creek former location of Uno’s Chicago Grill are converting the restaurant (as well as many other former Uno’s) to a new concept named Mason’s Chophouse. The restaurant will be casual dining and priced similarly to Mimi’s. Apparently all staff is being retained, and the restaurant has been through an intense renovation and plans to open this afternoon for dinner.

Just ate there tonight. The food was fine, nothing special. Probably on par with Applebee’s, Fridays, that ilk. I asked the waitress if the owners were the same and she said no, but she may be mistaken.
I’m not sure how long this format will last. There’s not much to differentiate Mason’s from other similar restaurants.

Four of us ate lunch there today. Two of us got what we ordered. We agreed to eat what was brought (pizza instead of sub) and they gave one of us $3 off but not the other one. Not a good start! We complained and they eventually took care of it but it took a long time… Already down at 92% and change score on cleanliness. I will give them another chance in a few months.
