Pair of Restaurants Closes in Brier Creek

Things have certainly flatted in Brier Creek recently as both the Uno’s Chicago Grill and Salsarita’s have both shut their doors. As of yesterday, though, the Salsarita’s at Crossroads was still open.

It also appears that the Camille’s Sidewalk Café in Brier Creek has closed.

If food quality is any indication, I would have thought Uno’s would close 3 years ago.

Sad to see Salsarita’s go, that was a good spot. I’d imagine their lease is pretty high.

Uno’s closing is no surprise (that style pizza is awful).
NY Pizza next to GNC, excellent!!!
A number of us liked Salsarita.
Camille’s, prices were outrageous for the quantity of food

I didn’t like this product with the “Uno” name. However, the original Uno’s (at Ohio and Wabash in Chicago) is incredible.

Yeah, the running joke with my coworkers was how tiny a portion they gave you at Camille’s. The “wraps” were exactly the same size as a Hot Pocket. I’m not exaggerating and I couldn’t believe it either. Then again, we only ate there with B1G1 coupons so we figured it evened out.

Uno’s was crap – the pizza and $1.25 pints of Carolina Blonde were good, but everything else on the menu was overpriced and underwhelming. Plus it always seemed like there were only 3 (angry) people staffed there at a time.

I did like Salsarita’s though – I never got why it closed shop the first time and it’s sad to see them close again. Plus it was practically Jibarra when compared to Moe’s across the street.

Maybe WhichWich? should go in where Camille’s left. WW is fantastic!

I have eaten at all 3. I always saw Uno’s just like the other restaurants in a row there like Applebees and such. When I have chosen a place for lunch with a work group and we did not go to Carolina Ale House, it was usually Applebess. But 90% of the time it was CAH.

I ate at Salsarita’s once and thought it was good.

Ate at Camille’s once and never went back due to, as I have told many people, “I paid $9 for a bread sandwich”

I feel like Uno’s went downhill. The location in Greensboro was always pretty good. The service was always friendly and fast, nut the food wasn’t consistently good. I agree with the other posts about Camille’s being too expensive. I never got to try Salsarita’s!

I will miss the Spinocolli pizza

There is work going on in the UNOs building right now. There were signs on the door yesterday and the drive up take out signs had a different name on them. Unfortunately, I forgot the name on them. :-(

I hate Salsarita’s closed. I hate even more that there’s no sign posted telling you so, the lights are just always off.

Uno’s – good riddance, horrible food. New company is Mason’s Bar and Grill. Not familiar with them.

Camille’s – Never ate there, nothing on the menu appealed to me and was overpriced.

I’d love to see a seafood restaurant open in Brier Creek or On the Border.

I agree with those sentiments. I’d like to see Chipotle, Noodles & Co., and a Golden Corral go in out there.

Never ate at Salsaritas but some friends have told me it was good food and a good spot.

Uno’s : We ate there once using a coupon and it was just horrible, AND expensive. Too bad, because the Uno’s in High Point, NC is actually pretty good, even though it’s still overpriced.

Camille’s: This was some of the worst food I’d had from any restaurant ever – I’m hard pressed to remember worse. I just remember paying an exorbitant amount for an almost microscopic portion. The sandwich was also non-tasting and had a really gross sauce on it that made it inedible. My shadow never crossed their door again. So glad to see Noodles and Co. taking that spot. Can’t wait to give it a try! Maybe I’ll head over there one Saturday afternoon after going to Barnes and Nobles.
