“My Name Is Earl” Cancelled

my-name-is-earl NBC will not renew hit sitcom “ My Name is Earl ” for a 5th season. The show, starring Jason Lee, also features Kinston native Jaime Pressly , and is co-produced and co-written by Raleigh native Bobby Bowman . Showhype.com recently reported that FOX may pick the show up, so we’ll see if Earl gets a second life (much like Scrubs did). Karma has a funny way about it (so I hear).

    Interesting. I think FOX would definitely be a more appropriate channel for this show. It’s like NBC is “smart and funny” while FOX is “stupid/insulting and funny/disgusting”. ABC is “drama and drama”. Wow, I sort of got off topic there.

    Bottom line, I bet FOX will pick this up.

    I watched this show when it first came on, and for some reason I thought I would like it. Maybe it was because Earl struck me as a knock-off of the Nicolas Cage character from Raising Arizona, but I expected more from the show. I thought it was not very funny and somewhat stupid…so I see this as no great loss.

    How could they!!!?!?!?! Earl and SNL were NBC’s only good shows and they just lost theyre best one.

    NOOOOOOO!!! Why do all the good happy nice to watch and most of all FUNNY shows go off air first?!?!?!? I really hope they put Earl back on i used to watch this show every chance i got. I remember watch ing one episode where earl was in a car doing something or should i say someone when a cop sneaks up on them and earl runs out of the car and trips and says “Ah, i scraped my PENIS!!” yes he really said that

    I agree with all of you. Hopefully FOX will pick it up.

    I especially love the “Sweet Johnny” episodes from this season. “Whoops! Just grazed the stanker!”

    This is one of the few shows I make time to watch each week. The cast is perfect in there roles. The special charactures are used just enough that it is a treat to see them and the situation that arise really crack me up. I really hope FOX picks this show up.

    Earl was the funniest show on today!!!!the fact that theyre replacing it with parks and recreation is riduclious!!!tried to watch it once and lasted less than 10 mins,NOT FUNNY!!!!would be AWESOME if fox picked it up.one of my faves this season was shark adrenaline,” OUCH!!! THATS MY SCROTUM?!?!?!?!?!”will be sadly missed
