America’s Pita Closing

The America’s Pita Grille on Fayetteville Street is closing and will re-emerge in a few months as a cafe-styled Asian place.

I hope the new place has better hours… American Pita wasn’t open nights or weekends.

  • Dan

This is WRONG. American Pita is not closing. It is alive and kicking. Just went there for lunch to check it out. You should do the same.

  • David

Any idea when it is closing? That place is good, and some peeps might want to hit it up one mo time.

  • Kagan

I had lunch there today and the owner said that he is not closing and has no idea where anyone got this idea.

OF COURSE there is always a chance that this information is incorrect, however it would be the first time that my historically deadly-accurate source on this is wrong.

I don’t have any agenda on this issue. The pita place is fine, but a Vietnamese/Thai place would be fine, too. After 45 months and around 2,000 posts, you all pretty much know what I’m about.

“After 45 months and around 2,000 posts, you all pretty much know what I’m about.”

I thought you were about posting accurate info and not conjecture? Guess I was wrong.

    Pita Place is not closing.

give him some slack, 99.9% of the postings are accurate and helpful. its great this town has a couple knowledgeable sources out there to help spread the word.

  • HW

Of course I am willing to give some slack, but I recall Dana posting about another Raleigh blog being irresponsible for posting about businesses closing when it was based on rumor and thus leading to their demise. If the owner is denying that the place is closing, we don’t have confiramtion and it is just a rumor at this point. It would appear this blog has the “if you can’t beat them, join them” mentality. I find that dissapointing.
