Though to be fair to Dana, he actually talked about the Hurricanes/Islanders romp well before the Tar Heels ever came up.
UNC winning the National Championship *I just threw up in my mouth* is a very significant story for any blog or news site that discusses the culture and happenings in the Triangle area. It would be negligent not to talk about it.

I think you are spot on in what you cover and there is no need for suggestions from me… thats why I visit the site daily to see whats coming up in the city I love. But recently the entries have contained some serious stats/numbers on basketball and every other day was about basketball. Look I understand basketball is important here and you can blog about what you would like. I am just a reader giving feedback and just take it for what you will and keep up the good work.

As I sit here staring at my autographed ’74 and ’83 basketballs, I have concluded that you are correct. When a local team is winning one of the most coveted trophies in all of sports, I should be focusing on more ways we can find a mediocre sandwich in Raleigh.
(You DO realize that Raleigh is, by far, the city with the most members of the UNC Educational Foundation and you do understand how many days of salary people donate to this group, right?)
Why on earth would CBS pay six billion dollars for the rights to air this event when they could be focusing on all of the great things that have been happening in Raleigh in the last month? Perhaps you should write their president and ask for CBS to cover First Friday instead.
