Heels To Play For Title
UNC’s 14-point win tonight earned the team its first trip to the NCAA Title Game since winning it all in 2005. The win lifted Carolina as the NCAA Tournament’s all-time winningest program. After 35 minutes of play, the game became one of the ugliest contest in recent Final Four memory. Still, the Heels managed to score 0.92 points per possession to Villanova’s 0.70. Nevertheless, the Heels’ offense while the ball was in play was bad, something that was bound to happen (UNC has a bad offensive game every 4-5 games). If the general pattern of this team’s play continues, expect the Heels to be very productive on Monday. UNC has never lost this season when scoring at least 0.88 points per possession. The game begins at 9pm on Monday night.
