UNC’s 14-point win tonight earned the team its first trip to the NCAA Title Game since winning it all in 2005. The win lifted Carolina as the NCAA Tournament’s all-time winningest program. After 35 minutes of play, the game became one of the ugliest contest in recent Final Four memory. Still, the Heels managed to score 0.92 points per possession to Villanova’s 0.70. Nevertheless, the Heels’ offense while the ball was in play was bad, something that was bound to happen (UNC has a bad offensive game every 4-5 games).
