God, I have been waiting for this. The nightmares I could tell you guys about dealing with TWC over the last couple of months in our new home…
    See ya TWC.

I saw this news and immediately went to att.com to signup. Unfortuneately in my neck of the woods it’s not yet available. I was surprised since I am in a part of Raleigh I would classify as fairly central. I will ditch TWC the day AT&T is willing to serve my neighboorhood.

    re: Brian’s post.

Yep, pretty much my story, too. I live off of Six Forks Rd., just a few blocks from North Hills. Was hoping that my area would be on these first ones to get coverage, but from what I have read the areas that are being first are those where employees live and where certain VIPs in the area live. Oh, if only I lived next door to Mr. Kane!

I have U-Verse being installed on Wednesday. I can’t wait! I’m so sick of TWC. I’ve had phone, cable, and internet with them for years, and have had so many problems and complaints and terrible customer service that i felt like their bitch for staying with them all this time. I’ve never been a big fan of ATT, but they’ve been unbelievably helpful and responsive with U-Verse. The tech that was at my house yesterday told me I’d have 25mb download speed and 6mb up! He said it will blow the MAX18 rating out of the water. REally!? We’ll see.

Rob, not trying to pry, but around what area do you live?

No dice for downtown (27601) residents… I guess we’re stuck with TWC’s 10 channel HD lineup for now.

Five Points (27608) residents should be able to get it.

hey guys…i live in 27612 brookhaven neighborhood. i’ve now had an opportunity to play around with u-verse for a day or so and it’s a lot better than Mystro/TWC. First off, the service guys are phenomenal and did everything they said they were going to do, when they said. weird. That certainly never happened with TWC. The interface took a little getting used too, but it’s a lot cleaner and just works better. when you are scrolling through the guide, a small picture-in-picture version of the channel you’re on plays in the corner. this seemed like a novelty at first, then quickly became one of my favorite things about the system. also, you can log on to your account from any computer and schedule recordings for shows, which is great if you’re traveling.
    so far it rules.
