I thought I saw a flyer for .38 Special some time around July 4…a block party or so? Did anyone attend? Maybe we’ll get them back?

The sound was muddled - perhaps not their fault - the songs were not tight - completely their fault - and the guys tried to seem into it and inspired buy they are simply not very good. I mean like not very talented - they'd be a good bar band but the ain't the Marshall Tucker Band. I do remember how impressive an act they were. The first time I saw them was as the opening act for the Allman Bros. at MSG in NYC back in the early '70s - I was blown away. Last night, well, I was blown away in a different way - I up and left after they butchered their cover of "Heard it in a Love Song". I just was so juiced to see the MT Band again and it was such a let down. The guys need to get the sound right and practice, practice, practice.

I'm 99% sure it's a go for this fall though... and yes, with the Longbranch gone we are definitely open, willing, and going after up and coming country/alt-country... send me your suggestions anytime!
