Stay Away From the Guacamole
WRAL interviewed State Epidemiologist Dr. Jeffrey Engel who feels the state’s salmonella cases may get worse. The U.S.D.A. lifted their warning on tomatoes Thursday. The main focus now is avocados, and fresh jalapeno and serrano peppers. There has also been some concern about cilantro, which is difficult to wash. These ingredients are found in salsas, guacamole, and other southwestern, Mexican, and Indian foods. (Oh the humanity!)
Unless you enjoy counting floor tiles, heed these warnings, folks.
