Why bring in a speaker who has very little experience in mass transit (the Charlotte guy)? This is sad, get someone from a city who has extensive experience, has a mature system and not a person/city who still has no clue if they are building mass transit properly.
Wow, come on Raleigh, get it together. Are we actually going to listen and follow their business model? We should be setting our own standards, enough listening to Charlotte, their infrastructure is awful.

Brad, I’ve seen Keith speak before (at the NC Go annual meeting a few months ago) and I was really impressed. It’s true there are a lot of differences between Raleigh and Charlotte that aren’t going to change, but there is also a lot we can learn from Charlotte because Raleigh will soon grow to its size, and people find it easier to relate to a local example of good transportation planning. Nobody wants to hear about how incredible the trains are in Manhattan or Europe because it’s irrelevant.
The transit forum will be televised LIVE by WRAL on channel 100 and online. The Raleigh Television Network will also record it to play on cable and on-demand video online. This is going to be a big event! Hope to see you all there.
Brad, come and join us.
