Raleigh Skeeball League Starts Third Season
The Raleigh Skeeball League is about to begin its third season. It all started in October of 2008 and has grown each “skeeson”, mainly via word of mouth. They play Thursday nights at The Bassment , located at 407 Glenwood Ave, just below The Pourch. "We love having the skeeball crowd in here. You’d think the games were about life and death with how into it everyone gets. They have their own trading cards, team uniforms, nicknames, stats online and everything. It’s great to watch!" said Paul Sessum, owner of The Pourch and Bassment.
Skeeson III is set to kick off in early August, with two opportunities to register your team and get some free practice in on Thursday, July 30th and Thursday, August 6th from 7pm – ? The league will officially kick off Week 1 action on Thursday, August 13th. The "skeeson" lasts 8 weeks with teams made up of 3-4 rollers.
