Champa Thai Downtown Closes

The downtown location of Champa Thai (16 W Martin St.) has closed. The Brier Creek location is still open, however.

It’s actually been closed for about three weeks.

It must have been closed for a while now because the “Closed” sign during lunch time has been there for several weeks. I meant to send you an email and ask you, but totally forgot :( Anyway, sad news, although my experience there was just average. I think that they had the heart in the right place, and the food was good, but I felt that their menu was a bit limited, considering the competition.

Can’t only have success stories, I guess :(

Wow…that didn’t last long. I wanted to try them out, but since they were only open for weekday lunch, it just couldn’t happen. How much money can a business possibly make with such restricted hours?

Fortunately downtown still has the most-excellent Thaiphoon (with great hours) as well as many Thai dishes on the menu at Wild Ginger. So still plenty of good Thai food to go around there. :-)

    Their hours were terrible.

  • Chris

Their food wasn’t much better than their hours.

Basil Chicken was $9 or $10 and was ground dark meat chicken, not strips of white meat chicken that you get at quality Thai restaurants.

Went there once, never went back.
